Must Dos at Disney's Boardwalk!


One of our Disney must-dos whenever we are on property is a stop by the BoardWalk located at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort. It is a Disney deluxe resort but is also a place to get some great food. We make the stop for two reasons: BoardWalk Bakery and Ample Hills Creamery.


The BoardWalk Bakery is a great place to get some of your favorite Disney treats. Cupcakes, cakes, sandwiches, cheesecake, cookies and so much more line the cases of this small shop. Get something to eat and take it outside to eat lakeside or haul it back to your own resort and store it for a treat later in your vacation.

Ample Hills is a small business in Brooklyn, NY that opened in 2011 and opened a location at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn in 2016. They make small batch special recipe ice cream (such as Star Wars) along with classic favorites. You can purchase a cup, a cone, or by the pint. Having a scoop by the lake and watching the Florida sun set – it is a magical experience.

What do you need to visit the BoardWalk? Just head over! You don't need to be a guest of the Boardwalk Resort to visit Disney's Boardwalk. Let the security guard know you are visiting the BoardWalk and they will direct you to guest parking. A quick walk and you can be enjoying a cupcake or ice cream in no time!

4th of July at Walt Disney World

America’s story, Independence Day, is celebrated at Walt Disney World every year, with a grand display. Around the US, there are so many ways to celebrate the holiday.
