Let's Celebrate Halloween at Disneyland

The official announcement has come from the West Coast! The return of Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is ready to take over the park after hours for night(s) of fun, treats, and Spooktacular entertainment! We also have information on all things Halloween themed happening at Disneyland over the next few months. Let’s go!

The 70th Celebration will be happening at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park during those regular park hours and evenings there is not an event, so no need to fret on missing any of the fun there this fall.

Plaza de Familia 2025 will return at Disney California Adventure Park from August 22, 2025 through November 2, 2025. There is a celebration set at Paradise Gardens Park. Here there is a set up with the Mexican Arbol de la Vida, memory wall, and even a special meet and greet with Miguel from “Coco.” A celebration in the parks is not complete without live entertainment and food. “Storytellers of Plaza de la Famila Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” is returning!

Whether you’re dying to show off your Halloween costume, trick-or-treat through the park, or come face-to-face with your favorite Disney villains this is the event you won't want to miss. But beware—tickets vanish fast, and this popular party sells out quicker than you can say “BOO!” Tickets go on sale to the general public June 26, 2026 and the first event in the parks is August 17, 2025. There are select evenings where Disney California Adventure will close early to daytime guests for this special ticketed event takes place. Take a trip through the Treat Trail to collect your sweets and enjoy a “Frightfully Fun Parade” where villains and favorite characters come together to celebrate.

There are other ways to celebrate Halloween without attending the highly sought-after event. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit returns for another year of scavenger hunt fun! Throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District there are character pumpkins hiding waiting to be found. After purchasing the map, go on the hunt for these special pumpkins. Find them all and turn the map in for a fun surprise! This map does not have to be completed in one day, and can be turned in upon completion during your visit.

If you’re just in the area and not heading to the parks, there are still some Halloween themed activities spread throughout the resorts that you can enjoy. There are two dining locations at the resorts that are offering characters in their spooky attire. Goofy’s Kitchen celebrates Halloween is where guests can meet with characters like Goofy, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Minnie Mouse during their dining adventure. Storyteller’s Café hosts Mickey’s Autumn Adventure! Broken Spell Lounge is located at Disneyland Hotel, and will feature a menu themed for the Disney Villains! Finally, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will have pumpkin carvers in the lobby creating amazing masterpieces. There will also be a confectionery piece on display at the resort.

If you are staying at one of the three resorts, there will be treat trails held during select afternoons. This information can be found at your resort.
