Halloween Happenings At Disneyland Resort

Get ready, foolish mortals—spooky season is creeping into Disneyland Resort, and it’s bringing a frightfully fun wave of exciting changes, eerie entertainment, and bewitching new merchandise! From glowing jack-o’-lantern displays on Main Street, U.S.A. to limited-time treats and exclusive Halloween-themed gear, there’s magic lurking around every corner. Let’s take a peek at what’s brewing this year!


Halloween at Disneyland Park will begin August 22, 2025 and will run through October 31, 2025, which is exactly when guests can expect to experience most of the Halloween festivities in the parks. I say most because Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is a separate ticketed event that is held after-hours. 

The gang at Disneyland will be sporting a new outfit for the spooky season that is created with colors of purple, green, and orange. Mickey Mouse seems to have a sorcerer-like outfit while Minnie Mouse has a similar design in a witch-like costume with striped tights. 

Guests travel from all over the world to visit Disneyland, especially during the holiday season when Haunted Mansion has the most fabulous layover. “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” takes over Haunted Mansion in the Haunted Mansion Holiday layover. The favorite characters like Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, Oogie Boogie, and more become the focus of the attraction. This is my absolute favorite part of Disneyland Park during the holiday overlay. 

Another magical change is the nighttime spectacular at Disneyland. Halloween Screams takes place of Wondrous Journeys for the season on select nights with fireworks that light up the sky! The projectors, lighting effects, and sounds create a villainous scene. 

Did you know that there is a two-hour walking tour of Disneyland called Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour? This tour includes Lightning Lanes to select attractions and even a reserved viewing area for the Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular. 

A few steps away, yes Disney California Adventure Park is just steps away from the entrance of Disneyland Park making Park Hopping a breeze, there is so much more Halloween magic to experience. Radiator Springs transforms into Radiator Screams! The cars receive costumes, and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOreee is set for the season. The other attraction at DCA that converts into something for the season is Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, but you guessed it, it only happens in the evenings.



Another layover is at the Disney Theater where “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” is held. “Mickey’s Trick and Treat!” will welcome guests to help celebrate Halloween where there is nothing spooky about it and a treat is given to take home. 

While there has not been an official Foodie Guide released for the season, I know it’s coming. In the meantime, Disney Destinations has released that the delicious Oogie Boogie Lemonade is returning and a new Jalapeno-Cream Cheese Bread will be debuting this Halloween season. 

Most of the standard activities and entertainment are still available in the parks, so don’t let the season change deter you from visiting Disneyland Resort. 4th of July at Walt Disney World

America’s story, Independence Day, is celebrated at Walt Disney World every year, with a grand display. Around the US, there are so many ways to celebrate the holiday.
