“Walt Disney – A Magical Life”

The 70th Celebration at Disneyland Resort has had the official kick-off and the party has begun. Characters, parades, food, merchandise, and even Walt Disney are celebrating this huge milestone. Yes, you read that correctly, Walt Disney (an animatronic version) has been brought to life to help celebrate the “The Happiest Place on Earth.”


Imagineers created a one of a kind, and first of its kind, animatronic of the infamous Walt Disney in the “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” that debuted on July 17, 2025. This performance showcases the story of Walt Disney in his own words through film and even Audio-Animatronics (which Walt helped create the art form).

Inside the Main Street Opera House, there is a layout of the evolution and design of the Audio-Animatronics. Also showing in the lobby is a film called “Memories of Walt” which showcases interviews of people that knew Walt and had the honor to work alongside him. “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” starts with “One Man’s Dream” which begins with his early life and leads through his life. The finale is where the Walt animatronic is debuted as he stands in a re-creation of his office.

From characters, television shows, films, and theme parks, Walt Disney’s dream has helped make billions of memories, and will continue to do so for years to come.
