A Look Inside the Ultimate Family Townhouse (Yes, It Has a Slide!)

 Did you hear the news? Marvelous Mouse Travels was invited to set sail on Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Star of the Seas, as part of a preview sailing this week! There were four travel agents onboard and we were lucky enough to be able to tour an Ultimate Family Townhouse during our cruise, so let me tell (and show) you everything this stateroom type has to offer! Spoiler alert, it’s a lot!

Royal Caribbean has truly outdone themselves with the Ultimate Family Townhouse aboard the brand-new Star of the Seas — and yes, it really does have its own indoor slide! This one-of-a-kind, three-level suite is the ultimate dream stay for families who want luxury, comfort, and nonstop fun without even leaving their stateroom.


The first thing you notice when you walk in is the space. At nearly 1,800 square feet inside (plus a sprawling private outdoor patio), it feels more like a luxury vacation home than a cruise ship cabin. The layout is designed with families in mind, giving everyone their own areas to spread out while still having plenty of places to come together.

The main living area features bright, playful décor, cozy seating, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows that keep the ocean views front and center. There’s a movie theater room for family movie nights, a game table for friendly competition, and a dining space perfect for enjoying meals together. But the real showstopper? That bright red slide that lets kids (and fun-loving adults!) zip from the upper level down to the living room in seconds.


Upstairs, you’ll find multiple bedrooms — including a whimsical kids’ room with bunk beds, a separate space for teens, and a luxurious master suite for the grown-ups. Each has its own bathroom, so there’s no morning traffic jam. The outdoor area is just as impressive, with a private whirlpool, daybeds, and direct access to the Surfside neighborhood.



As part of the Royal Suite Class, guests staying here also enjoy a dedicated Royal Genie (think personal concierge on steroids), priority boarding, specialty dining access, and so much more.
