The BRAND NEW Celebrity ship, Celebrity Xcel, is due to set sail for its maiden voyage in just a few days. This one of a kind sailing is the only one on the books for the inaugural season. The maiden voyage is the first time that the ship will welcome guests onboard to experience the newest Edge Class ship. But where is it sailing to? For the remainder of 2025, Celebrity Xcel will be homeported in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Setting sail on November 18, 2025 the Celebrity Xcel will be conducting a 5-Night Bahamas & Mexico sailing for its maiden voyage! In the Bahamas guests will visit Bimini! This gorgeous Bahamian island offers white sand and turquoise waters. The Northern part of the island is very lively while the Southern section is more quiet and relaxed. Bimini is a perfect location for those who have interest in snorkeling and diving!
The second port of call is Cozumel, Mexico. Docked from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, there is an entire day to see Cozumel like never before. Another perfect location for the snorkeling and diving enthusiasts where sea turtles, reef sharks, and colorful fish are very popular sights. Cozumel is also full of history with places like archeological sites and museums not far from the port. Want a hands-on experience? Margarita making classes are always an option when in Cozumel!
Also during the maiden voyage, there will be two sea days! This is the perfect time to enjoy the pools, a visit to the spa, and experience all that this gorgeous ship has to offer.
For the remainder of 2025, there are two different itinerary options for the Celebrity Xcel. Both sets of itineraries are 7-nights in length.
The first itinerary visits Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. There are also three sea days to explore the ship with this option. Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic is known for beautiful mountains, and long stretches of beaches. Adventurous visitors can explore on zip-lines, natural rock slides, or even off-road exploring. Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas is part of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Another gorgeous destination with white sand beaches and full of history. Cobblestone paths, buildings dating back to the 17th Century, and mountains that will allow full view of 15 islands! The final destination on this itinerary is Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Half of the island is Dutch, while the other half is French. The island is home to fabulous rum distilleries, and a 91 step rainbow-colored path to Fort Louis.
The second itinerary offered for the remainder of 2025 visits Bimini, Bahamas; Cozumel, Mexico; and George Town, Grand Cayman. There are also three sea days built into this itinerary to experience all of the magic this ship has to offer. We’ve already discussed what Bimini and Cozumel have to offer visitors. George Town, Grand Cayman is picture perfect with the crystal clear waters and sandy stretch of beaches. History and art are at the top of the must-do’s, while there is enough shopping, restaurants, and nature sites to spend the entire day experiencing.
