There’s just something about walking into Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that immediately makes your Disney vacation feel different. Between the grand lobby, live piano music, fresh floral scent, and views of Cinderella Castle across the water, the Grand Floridian has a way of making a Disney trip feel extra special from the moment you arrive.
One of the BIGGEST perks of staying at Disney's Grand Floridian is the location. You truly cannot beat how easy it is to get around. The resort sits right on the monorail loop, making transportation to Magic Kingdom incredibly simple. You can hop on the monorail and be at the park in just a few minutes, or if you prefer, there’s even a walking path directly to Magic Kingdom that takes about 15–20 minutes depending on your pace. That walk especially at night after fireworks? Genuinely one of my favorite things to do at Disney.
Getting to EPCOT is also surprisingly easy. Just take the monorail from the Grand Floridian to the Transportation & Ticket Center and transfer to the EPCOT monorail line. It’s smooth, easy, and honestly part of the fun.
The resort itself feels luxurious without feeling stuffy. The rooms have a bright, elegant style with subtle Disney touches, and the entire property feels peaceful even though you’re so close to the parks. There are beautiful walking paths, waterfront views, incredible dining, and one of the best resort atmospheres on Disney property.
If you really want to elevate your stay, Club Level at the Grand Floridian is absolutely worth considering. Club Level can completely change the pace of your trip. Having access to the lounge for breakfast, snacks, drinks, evening appetizers, desserts, and beer/wine throughout the day is SUCH a nice convenience — especially during busy park days. It’s also perfect for families wanting quick grab-and-go options or couples wanting a more relaxed luxury experience. The added concierge service and extra attention to detail, including personalized check in, really make the stay feel special.

Another underrated splurge here? Renting a pool cabana. The Beach Pool area has such a fun but relaxing atmosphere, and the cabanas are a fantastic option if you plan to spend a resort day enjoying the pool. Having shaded seating, drinks nearby, ceiling fans, snacks, and dedicated space to relax makes a huge difference — especially during the Florida heat. It’s one of those upgrades that turns a pool day into an actual vacation day.
The dining here is another reason guests love the Grand Floridian. Whether it’s grabbing a quick breakfast before heading to Magic Kingdom, enjoying dinner with fireworks views, or treating yourself to one of Disney’s signature dining experiences, there’s something here that feels very “classic Disney.”
